Schooling: Elementary school: Des Moines, Iowa; Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Middle, high school: Ottawa, Kansas; Pittsburg, Kansas. College: Kansas State College; University of Redlands. Graduated with B.A. from University of Redlands, Redlands, California, 1967.
Education Career: Elementary school teacher for 13 years in California, Colorado, and Oregon. Adjunct journalism professor, George Fox College: 1989. Completed 65 hours of coursework beyond B.A. in education and journalism.
